At the beginning of the summer, we had the privilege to take part in an exceptional journey as part of the UK Delegation of Interior Design Professionals to Paris, organized by l’Ameublement français. This immersive experience allowed us to explore the world of renowned French manufacturers while fostering connections and collaboration among fellow London designers and industry peers. From the moment we arrived in Paris, we knew we were about to embark on an extraordinary design adventure.

As a delegation comprised solely of London interior design professionals, we were thrilled at the opportunity to network and engage with our peers in an international setting. The delegation provided a unique platform for us to connect, share insights, and build relationships within our own community.

One of our first stops was the esteemed showroom of Tisserant. This iconic establishment captivated us with its timeless elegance and refined designs. Every piece on display exuded a sense of luxury and sophistication, showcasing the mastery of French artisans. We were mesmerized by the exquisite attention to detail and the harmonious blend of traditional craftsmanship with contemporary aesthetics.

One such visit was to Alki , where we were captivated by their commitment to sustainable design and their exquisite collection of contemporary furniture. Their emphasis on natural materials and traditional craftsmanship resonated deeply with our own design principles, and we were inspired by their ability to create elegant and eco-friendly pieces.

Next, we had the privilege of visiting Rinck , a distinguished furniture manufacturer with a rich heritage. Stepping into their workshop was like stepping back in time to an era of grandeur and artistry. The skilled artisans at Rinck showcased their expertise in creating bespoke pieces that seamlessly integrated historical influences with modern sensibilities. It was a testament to their commitment to preserving the legacy of French craftsmanship.

We also had the opportunity to explore the showroom of Ligne Roset Contracts a leading manufacturer known for its avant-garde designs and collaborations with renowned designers. The display of innovative furniture and lighting pieces showcased their expertise in pushing boundaries and creating statement pieces that redefine interior spaces. It was a truly immersive experience that challenged our perceptions of design and pushed us to explore new possibilities.

As part of our delegation, we ventured to the Aubusson Manufacture,an iconic tapestry workshop that has been preserving and promoting the art of tapestry weaving for centuries. Witnessing the skilled artisans meticulously create intricate tapestries was a mesmerizing experience. In addition to manufacturer visits, we had the privilege of exploring the design studio of Charlotte Biltgen. Biltgen’s unique approach to interior design, characterized by her ability to blend various styles and create harmonious spaces, left us in awe. It was an insightful experience to see her creative process and understand the thoughtfulness behind her designs. The visit sparked new ideas and perspectives on how we can push the boundaries of our own design practice.

Another highlight of our delegation was the visit to the Révélations exhibition, a prestigious showcase of exceptional craftsmanship and contemporary design. The exhibition featured a diverse range of artists and artisans, allowing us to discover emerging talents and witness the innovative use of materials and techniques. Our delegation also included an introduction to Henryot & Cie, an illustrious manufacturer known for its exceptional furniture and interior designs. Their exposition was a treasure trove of inspiration, with each piece telling a unique story of elegance and innovation. From exquisite upholstery to meticulously crafted woodwork, Henryot & Cie showcased their mastery of creating pieces that transcend time and trends.

One of the highlights of our delegation was the visit to Manufactures EMBLEM Paris, a prestigious institution that combines traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge design.
