Helen Green Design was delighted to support Dress for Success’ fundraising evening on Thursday 14^th November, raising over £2,000.

Dress for Success empowers women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and development tools to help them thrive in their professional and personal lives. The charity works with disadvantaged women in Greater London who have experienced many difficulties and are at a stage in their lives where they would like to change their future for the better. Many of the women the charity work with manage single-parent households have experienced a range of challenging environments such as domestic abuse, substance abuse and homelessness.

Dress for Success provide professional clothing, interview training and a support network to help these women believe in their own ability to succeed. By creating a network of support for these women they regain their confidence, become more financially independent and are able to regain control of their lives.

The event, held at Weil Law firm, bought together a group of female professionals for a formal dinner where they heard about the work of Dress for Success and a testimonial from one of their past clients who has transformed her life with the help of the charity. Attendees also listened to a talk from the fashion brand Farfetch about styles for this season and how to best dress for your shape. A raffle for an Anya Hindmarch bag and a Gucci scarf raised over £2,000 and 100% of the money raised will go to the charity.
