A sophisticated and glamourous family home for a professional couple in the heart of Belgravia, who had previously used Helen Green Design to design their house. Particular attention was paid to the formal dining and living rooms, as the couple do a large amount of entertaining.
The 3,970sq ft property is a Grade II listed townhouse, and the design for the property is glamourous, traditional, with interesting ‘twists’. The interior design is truly reflective of the client and their tastes. The historical memorabilia owned by our client sits effortlessly beside the art deco inspired furniture and contemporary art. There is a seamless joining of their interests with the common element of glamour and originality.
In the drawing room, a bespoke chandelier was the focal point for the room, as well as creating an integrated library and metal ladder. The chandelier and picture lights elevated the light within the space considerably. The unique cut contemporary rug from Colbourns added to the brightness of the scheme too. In the dining room, the 4.3 metre dining table enables plenty of space for their large dinner parties.
In the library space and drawing room our team selected veneers with antique brass to the joinery. In addition to this, a beautiful fabric design was chosen for the back of the bespoke swivel chairs, combining an art deco style with a touch of glamour. We loved taking inspiration from 1930s Hollywood, and clients’ own art collection to create contemporary, classical spaces in Townhouse, Belgravia.
