The Helen Green Design Foundation, a collaboration with the Inchbald School of Design, is now open for applicants. Now in its seventh year, the Helen Green Design Foundation offers bursaries, grants and support for career development to young aspiring interior designers through placements at the Inchbald School of Design.
The Helen Green Design Foundation was established in 2013, in memory of the late Helen Green, to help talented individuals who are interested in design to pursue their passion. Helen Green was a dedicated mentor of emerging talent with a unique ability to inspire young designers who sought to follow in her footsteps. Helen studied at the Inchbald School of Design and was immensely proud of her association with the school. Every year, the Helen Green Design Foundation offers:
- One placement on the ‘Interior Design & Decoration Course’ (duration ten weeks) at the Inchbald School of Design.
- One annual placement on the ‘Online Diploma in The Principles of Interior Design and Decoration at the Inchbald School of Design. The Online Diploma is a one-year, part time course aimed at those who wish to investigate interior design and develop skills on a professional level.
As part of the Helen Green Design Foundation’s support of these courses, placements are offered to a small number of students, including financial support to cover the costs of materials.
Submission details for the 2020 award are open from 1st November 2019. Applicants will be asked to complete a project and submit it digitally by Friday 31st January 2020.
