Style Tip: Using Flowers in the Home

As the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, Chelsea in Bloom and Belgravia in Bloom has taken root in London this week, there is a floral fever in the design Studio. Flowers and foliage add vibrancy and colour to our projects and can really lift the colour palette in a design scheme.

From subtle florals in the master bedroom to opulent arrangements in your hallway, flowers add a decorative element to any room and is a necessity for us when we design homes for our clients.

Living Room

The soft pearly petals of these white roses placed on a stone coffee table subtly breathe a fresh accent to the beige-tone living room. The layering of different whites in a room makes the scheme tie together nicely with white or cream roses a timeless addition to this living room.

Dining Room

Putting flowers at the centre of a dining table is something most of us do, however, it is the ways in which they are placed, and the type of flowers chosen that ultimately creates the overall impact. This trio of bright coral peonies lifts the otherwise neutral scheme in this contemporary we designed for a client.

From dressing tables to beside tables, flowers always fit well inside a bedroom, and especially in an otherwise muted palette. In the Berkeley Hotel, we placed an oval vase sitting comfortably with lilac hydrangeas in one of the suites we designed.
