Collaboration Beyond the Studio

Last month, all three branches of the Allect Design Group — Helen Green Design, Rigby & Rigby, and Lawson Robb — came together for a spirited and sun-filled Sports Day. Held in the beautiful green space of Hyde Park, London, the day brought together colleagues from across departments and disciplines for a much-needed dose of play, laughter, and light-hearted competition.

The highlight events included a competitive game of tug of war and a lively 3 rounds of rounders, many of us hadn’t done these since school! Each team, blending members from all three brands, gave it their all, with cheers across the field and friendly rivalry. We all contributed to and enjoyed a beautiful picnic in the sun where we could all simply connect on a more calm and level ground.

Strengthening Bonds and Recharging Minds

At Allect, we believe that design excellence doesn’t stop at the desk — it thrives in strong relationships, clear communication, and shared experiences. Our Sports Day gave everyone the rare opportunity to spend time together in a completely different context, building trust and camaraderie away from the structure of projects and meetings.

These moments are more than just fun. They help relieve stress, nurture creativity, and create space for authentic connection. In a fast-paced industry where precision, attention to detail, and high standards are paramount, opportunities to pause, play, and reconnect are essential.

Looking Ahead with Energy and Unity

As we continue into a busy second half of the year, the energy from our sports day carries forward. It was a great reminder to us of the power of unity and how much stronger we are when we move as one - be that refining architectural concepts, planning interiors or, indeed, pulling a rope across a field.

We are already looking forward to our next chance to come together - not just as teams, but as one collective Allect family. A big thank you to our in house visualiser Zak for these brilliant team photos, it was nice to see another passion put into practice.
