Several members of the Helen Green Design team recently visited the beautiful South West London showroom of Nusom Collective, where founders Lucy and Steve welcomed them to explore a carefully curated collection of artisan brands, furniture and decorative pieces that effortlessly balance functionality with artistry.

What makes the experience especially distinctive is that the showroom is also Lucy and Steve's home. This creates an authentic, lived-in atmosphere that offers a refreshing contrast to the more conventional showroom environments designers often encounter. Blending the sophistication of a contemporary gallery with the warmth and practicality of a private residence, Nusom Collective demonstrates how beautifully crafted pieces can be experienced within the context of everyday living.

Much like Helen Green Design, Nusom Collective champions exceptional craftsmanship and timeless design that feels equally at home in both classical and contemporary interiors. Representing more than fifteen designers, makers and artists, the collective acts as a bridge between interior designers and manufacturers. Simplifying the sourcing process while ensuring creativity, material integrity and purposeful design remain central to every collaboration.

The visit left the team inspired to continue discovering emerging artisans and exploring new creative possibilities in residential design. Learning about the craftsmanship, traditional techniques and design philosophies behind each collection reinforced the value of a more considered approach to sourcing, one that moves beyond familiar suppliers to curate homes filled with meaningful pieces, each with its own story to tell.
