During their time in Paris, the team explored a number of galleries, discovering new artists and makers with a particular focus on sourcing for a private client. As one of the world’s leading design capitals, Paris offers a unique opportunity to stay closely connected to emerging talent and evolving aesthetics. These visits are not only about inspiration, but also about expanding HGD’s network of specialist suppliers and craftspeople. Alongside this, time was spent with established craftspeople, including a visit to the workshop of Philippe Hurel, a French furniture house with over a century of craftsmanship, known for translating traditional techniques into contemporary design.
