Helen Green Design have featured in The English Home’s article “Tailored Collections”. The interior design team presented a modern country sitting room scheme that brings together the latest fabrics and papers.

“The brief: To create a luxurious, yet practical sitting room for a family living in the country. They have modern tastes and want a smart, fresh, neutral but not bland room, full of interesting textures and finishes.

‘Our ethos at Helen Green is to use textures in our upholstery and soft furnishings that are soft, rich and natural. We have avoided silkier or shinier pieces and larger-scale pattern for this scheme, and the fabrics we’ve chosen make an impact through their quality and fine detail. We wanted to create a fresh and contemporary feel that would work just as well in a pied à terre in London as in a country house. Just because you are in a rural location, you don’t need to be traditional. A scheme can be vibrant its freshness. We chose a palette of calm neutrals, deepened with luxurious use of on-trend navy. We also like to juxtapose these softer textures with our hard finishes, which are contemporary both in materials, such as resin and metal, and in their angular shapes.
