Apartment, Marylebone

Located within the distinguished Harcourt House in Marylebone, this 2,500 square foot apartment renovation reflects Helen Green Design’s commitment to creating refined, highly personal interiors defined by craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Working closely with the client from concept through completion, the studio undertook a sensitive refurbishment that balances the building’s architectural heritage with a contemporary residential lifestyle. The process was guided by a collaborative and highly considered approach, ensuring the client’s vision was translated into an interior of understated elegance and lasting quality.

A carefully curated material palette brings a sense of calm and clarity to the apartment. Cool, refined tones are layered with texture and subtle pattern to create interiors that feel fresh and contemporary, yet inherently comfortable. Hand painted silk wallpapers add depth and interest to the principal reception spaces, while bespoke joinery and specialist finishes were developed in close collaboration with artisans, lending a quiet richness and individuality to the scheme.

Custom designed furnishings and tailor made lighting were created specifically for the project, each piece thoughtfully considered to enhance both the architecture and the flow of the interior. Comfort, functionality, and beauty were treated as equally essential, resulting in spaces that feel effortless yet highly resolved.

The success of the collaboration led the client to commission further projects with the studio, a testament to the enduring relationships built through a shared commitment to excellence.
